Our House Fire
Wednesday, June 25th, 2008 at 3PM lightning struck our beautiful house and set it a blaze while Shannon and the boys were inside. They all made it out safely but the house did not fare so well. Here are some photos taken the day after the fire: sorry some are sideways....not a whole lot of time to perfect at the moment.

My dear sister and Dan,
As I was looking at these pictures, the radio station was playing Chris Tomlin's Amazing Grace and all I could do was stare in shock and cry knowing what a beautiful home God had given you—one that you made from a house to a home, ready and willing to opened it up and invite in friends and strangers alike with great generosity and hospitality—was no more. The photos brought the tears but the song reminded me that God's grace is always sufficient for us no matter what our circumstance and he will take care of you! A home is where your loved ones are and everyone is alive and well! Praise God! I love you all so much and you are included in all of our prayers.
